US incentive FAM trip 2026
Montenegro Concierge DMC is proud to mark the beginning of a powerful new partnership with GPS Destinations, welcoming Mark Marino and agents from the United States of America for an exclusive Montenegro incentive travel experience — an inaugural familiarization trip that signals a defining moment in Montenegro's entry into the North American market.

Designed to introduce Montenegro through its most compelling experiences, the programme gave the attendees GPS Destinations team an authentic, immersive insight into why Montenegro is rapidly emerging as one of Europe's most sought-after destinations for high-end corporate incentive travel.
From the moment they arrived, the team encountered something rare: a destination that combines world-class hospitality, dramatic natural beauty, and cultural authenticity — all within a remarkably compact geography that delivers maximum impact for incentive programme planners.

From the breathtaking elegance of One&Only Portonovi and the exceptional setting of Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort, to an unforgettable private yacht experience across the Bay of Kotor, participants explored Montenegro through a series of curated luxury moments — precisely the kind of distinctive, high-impact experiences that North American incentive planners seek for their most valued clients.
FAM trip highlights
• One&Only Portonovi — exclusive showcase & site inspection
• Kotor Cable Car — signature ride with panoramic views
• Soap making at an old olive mill
• Hands-on cultural experiences — vintage car rides, wine& paint, sommelier workshop & Montenegrin wine discovery
• Tailor-made cultural & gastronomy experiences

“This first FAM trip with GPS Destinations marks the beginning of what we believe will be a long and successful partnership.
Montenegro is ready for the North American market — and the North American market is ready for Montenegro.”

For US-based incentive groups, United Airlines operates daily nonstop flights from the New York area (Newark/EWR) direct to Dubrovnik (DBV) through late September — a journey of just over nine hours. From there, Montenegro is approximately 40 minutes away, by road or by private speedboat across the Adriatic — a transfer that sets the tone for everything that follows.
For groups travelling via other US gateways, the most seamless routing is via London Heathrow — served by American Airlines, Delta, and United — with British Airways flying direct into Tivat.
Air Serbia connects New York and Chicago to Belgrade, with onward flights to Tivat taking under an hour.
Frankfurt, Vienna, and Istanbul offer additional hub options through Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and Turkish Airlines.
Montenegro's three entry points — Tivat (TIV), Podgorica (TGD), and Dubrovnik (DBV) — provide flexible options for group incentive programmes of any size. For winter programs, all three remain accessible year-round via Belgrade, Vienna, and Warsaw.

With world-class properties including One&Only Portonovi, Aman Sveti Stefan, Regent Porto Montenegro, The Chedi Luštica Bay, and Mamula Island by Banyan Tree, Montenegro delivers what larger, more saturated European destinations can no longer offer — genuine exclusivity, authentic character, and experiences that leave a lasting impression.
For North American incentive planners, that combination is increasingly rare. And increasingly in demand.
