New cruise ship routes, improved air accessibility, a large number of luxury hotels with top restaurants, represent Montenegro as a new destination on the Adriatic that you must visit.

Montenegro is connected with major European and world airports; flight time is approximately 2-3 hours from all significant gateways in Europe.

When it comes to climate, Montenegro has a Mediterranean climate on the coast and a Continental to Alpine in the north.

From the UNESCO protected Bay of Kotor, the medieval city of Perast full of palaces, the elegant marina in Tivat, Budva and its old town, to Ulcinj and Ada Bojana, the winding Montenegrin coast is full of dazzling landscapes which attract the attention of many world travellers.

With the founding of the Principality of Montenegro, the country first gained state independence in 1878, which was preceded by the establishment of secular power in 1852. In 1910, Montenegro became a Kingdom. Prince Nikola ruled it and became the King, a man who, along with his ancestors, St Peter of Cetinje and Peter II Petrovic Njegos, was one of the founders of Montenegrin statehood.

The Njeguši prosciutto and its unique taste, the Adriatic seafood flavours and fish form the rivers in the north combined with the wine Vranac aroma accompany every foreigner who has set foot in this country. Therefore, these have become - quite rightly - gastronomic symbols of Montenegro.

If you are looking for exquisite flavours that will caress your palate, you are in the right place!
